The many friends of Miss Anna Costello of Petersville, Iowa were shocked and saddened to hear of her sudden death at her home on last Friday morning. She had bee ill less than two weeks with pneumonia and homes had been entertained up to the last for her recovery. Her untimely death fell as a crushing blow on her loved ones and just at a time when life's hopes seemed brightest and full of promise. For the past two years, Miss Costello was a student at Mt. St. Clare academy, where she labored asiduously to become a capable teacher. While there she endeared herself to both teachers and her classmates by her womanly qualities.
She was truly a Catholic, was mot patient in her sufferings and prayed God's holy will be done; a most fitting prepartion for receiving the last consolations of her holy religion. While sympathizing with the bereaved family, yet in a Christin Spirit "wesorrow not as those who have no hope," for we know "there remaineth a rest for the children of God." "Tis the hand of Love guided by an arm of Wisdom that has laid this sorrow on our hearts, and to Him who doeth all things well, we humbly bow. We would not have our loved one back again To walk the rough path we have trod, But say sleep, sweetly sleep on the bosom of our God."
