Robert A. Feddersen, 81, of Maquoketa died Friday, June 25, 2004, at Mercy Hospital, Dubuque.
Funeral services were held Monday, June 28, at the Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt, with the Rev. Jim Olsen officiating.
Burial was in Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Pallbearers were Kenny Wagner, Tory DenHerder, Ron Burnett, Bob Thiel, Paul Keitel and Tim Oldsen. Honorary pallbearers were Andy Petersen and Laura Boyer.
Robert Feddersen was born Oct. 4, 1922, in McCausland to Jens and Emma Witt Feddersen. The family moved to Calamus where he was a farm hand for many years.
He married the former Hilda Oldsen June 6, 1948, in Davenport. The couple started farming at Long Grove and then farmed south of DeWitt, retiring in 1981.
Bob was a member of the Izaac Walton League of DeWitt. He enjoyed having a large garden and flowers, wood crafts and cutting his grass.
Bob and Hilda enjoyed going to stock car races and on bus tours.
Surviving are his wife; sons, Roger of Bryant and Alan of Lakewood, Colo.; daughters, Karen Petersen of Wheatland, and Linda Klassy of Pine Bluffs, Wyo.; six grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; a brother, Alvin of Monmouth, Ill.; and a sister, Alice Kearney of Wheatland.
He was preceded in death by three brothers.
