Velma Suehl age 82 of Clinton, died Sunday October 5, 2014 at Eagle Point Nursing Home. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, October 9th at St. John Lutheran Church in Clinton. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM Thursday at the church. Burial will take place at Oakland Cemetery. The Pape Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Velma was born on July 26, 1932 in Clinton, the daughter of August and Nancy (Hagge) Suehl. She graduated from Our Lady of Angels Academy. She attended Clinton High Night School studying Accounting and received her commercial training from Mount St. Claire College. Velma was employed at Clinton Lock Company, Eclipse Lumber Company, Oakleaf and Mangold and from 1965-2002 she was employed at Clifton Gunderson in both the Clinton and DeWitt offices. Velma was a member of St. John Lutheran Church. She enjoyed walking, reading, traveling, gardening and outdoor work.

Velma is survived by her niece Nancy Howson of Clinton and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister; Venita Howson. Memorials can be made to St. John Lutheran Church.
