The Clinton Herald Wednesday July 25, 1984 p. 16 Mrs. Ren (Cornelia) Ottens, 79, formerly of 408 Park Court, Morrison, died Tuesday in Resthaven Nursing Home. The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m., Friday in Morrison Christian Reformed Church with Joel Kok, summer seminarian, officiating. The funeral will be preceded by a family prayer service at 1:15 p.m. in the church. Burial will be in Grove Hill Cemetery, Morrison. Friends may call at the church from 11 a.m. Friday until the funeral. Morrison Chapel of Bosma Funeral Homes is in charge of arrangements. She was born Aug. 19, 1904, in Garden Plain, Ill., to Marvin and Winnie Tervelt Tegeler. She married Ren Ottens Feb. 27, 1930, in Morrison. She was a member of Morrison Christian Reformed Church and its Ladies Aid. She taught Sunday school many years and was a member of Morrison Community Hospital Auxiliary and sewing committee. Survivors include her husband, Ren; four daughters, Mrs. Robert (Ruth) Wilkens of Sterling, Mrs. Richard (Rachel) Groharing of Morrison, Mrs. John (Joyce) Kimmel of Indianapolis, Ind. and Mrs. Greg (Judy) Steele of Davenport; a son, Willis "Bill" Ottens of Morrison; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Theresa VenHuizen and Mrs. Clarence (Ann) Schaver, both of Morrison, Bernice Tegeler of Winnibago, Neb., and Mrs. Pauline Schaver of Sterling; eight brothers, Henry of Morrison, Louis of Sterling, Ben of Fulton, Raymond and Clarence of Fenton, Marvin and Lawrence of Chadwick and Leroy of Argo Fay. She was preceded in death by a grandchild and three brothers.
