The Clinton Herald Tuesday February 10, 1981 p. 10 Robert T. Klaes, 25, of 504 4th St., Camanche, died Monday night in a one-car accident near Princeton. The funeral will be 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Irenaeus Catholic Church, with the Rev. James Lawrence officiating. Burial will be in St. Irenaeus Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in Pape Funeral Home with a Christian wake service at 7:30 p.m. Pallbearers will be James Robertson, Robert Robertson and Dennis White of the Camanche Police Department, David Bishop and Dennis Kavanaugh of the Clinton County Sheriff's Office, Michael Gertson, Robert Dienes and William Nesbitt, of the Clinton Police Department. He was born Nov. 19, 1955, in Clinton, to Charles H. and Madonna Sullivan Klaes. He was a Camanche policeman. He was a member of St. Irenaeus Church. He graduated from St. Irenaeus Grade School and St. Mary's High School in 1974. He also graduated from Iowa Law Enforcement Academy. Survivors include his parents; three brothers, Charles of Clinton, Michael of Oshkosh,Wis., and James of Clinton; and his grandmothers, Mrs. Ellen Sullivan and Mrs. Alice Klaes, both of Clinton. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers.
