The Clinton Herald; Monday July 31, 1961; Page 8. Miss Josephine Troy, of 756 4th Ave. S., died Sunday afternoon in her home. The body is at the Snyder funeral home where friends may call after 3 p.m. today. A Solemn Requiem High Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tudsday in St. Patrick's Church. Burial wil be in St. Joseph Cemetery in DeWitt. The Daughters of Isabella will recite the rosary at 7 p.m. today in the funeral home. The parish rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. today. She was born on a farm near Petersville, the daughter of John and Mary Casey Troy. She later moved north of DeWitt and had been a resident of Clinton for over 50 years. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church, the Altar and Roadry Society of the Church and the Daughters of Isabella. Survivors include several neices and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and six brothers.
