The Clinton Herald Saturday January 14, 1967 p. 5 Mrs. Kathryn Kearney, 85, of DeWitt died this morning in DeWitt hospital after a long illness. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the Hanrahan funeral home, where visitation begins at 2 p.m. Sunday. Rev. Lester Olson, pastor of the Congregational church, will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood cemetery. Mrs. Kearney was born Jan. 13, 1882 in Maxtawny, Berks county, Pa., the daughter of William G. and Mmma Myerly Haring. She came to Clinton county as a child. She was married to Herbert Baird, Oct. 29 1901, in DeWitt and he died in 1912. She was married to Frank Kearney in 1920 and he died in 1946. She was a member of the Congregational Women's fellowship. Surviving are two sons, Nat T. Baird of DeWitt and James Baird of Lake Bluff, Ill., two daughters, Mrs. Herbert L. (Helen) Smith of deWitt and Miss Swisher (Mabel) Wilson of Moline, Ill,; one brother, Ralph Haring of Low Moor; one sister, Mrs. Alice Woods of Elgin, Ill., eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
