The Clinton Herald Monday May 3, 1959. Tim F. Crowley, 81, well known DeWitt farmer, died early Sunday in Mercy hospital, Davenport, after about 2 weeks' illness. The requiem mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph's Catholic church, with Rev. Francis Kelly as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Joseph's cemetery. The body is at the Hanrahan funeral home where frieds may call after 7 p.m. today. There will be recitation of the rosary at 8 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
Mr. Crowley was born Oct. 8, 1877 in Welton township, son of the late John and Bridget Duffy Crowley. He was married to Mary Ellen Kearney Jan. 28, 1908, in DeWitt St. Joseph's church. She preceeded him in death on March 21, 1956. Mr. Crowley farmed near DeWitt all his life.
Surviving are 2 sons, Joseph of Clinton and Carles of DeWitt; 4 daughters, Mrs. Clarence Craig and Mrs. Clem Lawlor, both of DeWitt, Mrs. Francis Kane, Long Grove, and Margaret of Davenport; a brother, Vincent E. Crowley of Delmar, a sister, Mrs. Frank Cavanaugh of Delmar and 7 grandchildren.
The Clinton Herald Tuesday May 5, 1959 p. 11 Requiem for Timothy F. Crowley, DeWitt farmer, will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. (DST) Wednesday in St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph's cemetery. The body reposes in the Hanrahan funeral home.
