Floyd Wilbur Sherman, 85, of Clinton, passed away, Saturday, August 2, 2014 at Select Specialty Hospital- Davenport.
Funeral Services will be 11:00am, Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be John Barten, Sean Rupp, Jeremy James, Van Green, Omar Medina, and Corey Council. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 5, 2014 from 4:00-7:00pm at the funeral home. Floyd Wilbur Sherman was born on March 15, 1929 in Jackson County, Iowa, the son of Bert and Gail (Whitson) Sherman. He married Thelma Belle Stanley on January 29, 1950 in Clinton, IA; she passed May 2, 2006.
Floyd worked at ADM for 30 years retiring in 1984. He also farmed during his younger years.
Floyd was a member of the Community of Christ Church.
Floyd is survived by three daughters: Diane McClelland of Camanche, Linda Barsema of Clinton, and Mary James of Clinton, 6 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
Floyd was preceded in death by his wife, parents, one son, one son-in-law, four brothers, and one sister.
