Sandra Ann Arkenberg, 71, of Clinton, Iowa passed away peacefully at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf, Iowa on Tuesday, July 8, 2014. A Funeral Mass will take place at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 12, at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, Clinton. A visitation is scheduled on Friday, July 11, from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Lemke Funeral Homes - South Chapel (2610 Manufacturing Drive - west side of Clinton Lawn Cemetery). Burial will be at Clinton Lawn Cemetery.

Sandra was born May 22, 1943 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Floyd and Catherine (Anglese) Vilmont. She was a graduate of Clinton High School. Sandra was united in marriage to Henry Arkenberg on August 4, 1962 in Clinton, Iowa at St. Mary's Catholic Church. They were together in marriage for 51 years until his recent passing.

Sandra was a homemaker. She was devoted to her Catholic religion and attended Mass faithfully at St. Mary's Church in Clinton. As an active member there she enjoyed Bible study. Sandra was a loving Mother and Grandmother and was an avid cook. She also enjoyed crafts and antiquing. She will be missed by her family and friends.

Sandra is survived by her children - James (Loan) of Cedar Rapids, IA., Nancy (John) Seitz of Clinton, IA., David (Bridget Graham) Arkenberg of Racine, WI.; grandchildren - Emily, Michael and Samuel Arkenberg, Kelly Ann (Robert) Wilson, and Kara (Andrew) Cecil, her mother Catherine Lois Vilmont of Clinton, IA.; two brothers - Charles (Sue) Vilmont of Clinton, IA., Vernon (Sandra) Vilmont of Clinton, IA.; one sister in-law Karen Vilmont of Davenport, IA., with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Preceding Sandra in death were her Father- Floyd, her husband Henry and two brothers - Joseph and Thomas.
