Sally Arlene Starbuck, 80, of Clinton, Iowa passed away on Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at Mercy Living Center - North (formerly Wyndcrest). A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 20, at Lemke Funeral Homes - South Chapel (2610 Manufacturing Drive - west side of Clinton Lawn Cemetery). A visitation will be held two hours prior to the funeral service from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Lemke Funeral Homes is assisting the family with arrangements.
Sally was born November 18, 1933 in Clinton, Iowa the daughter of Marvin and Arla (Slaughter) Hansen. She was a 1951 graduate of Clinton High School. Sally was a long time member of the Northside Church of God and a former member of the Rainbow Girls and Eastern Star. Sally worked many years for Plaza Catering a branch of the Plaza Cafe.
Sally was an avid reader, loved to cook and shopping for antiques. She also loved to travel especially with her cousin, taking their once a year bus trip to anywhere.
Sally is survived by four sons - Steve Starbuck of Clinton, IA., David (Marcia) Starbuck of Fulton, IL., Jim (Carla) Starbuck of Clinton, IA., Tom (Alison) Starbuck of Clinton, IA.; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren, and her dear cousin Janice (Phillip) Simpson of Palmyra, IN.
Preceding Sally in death were her parents and one sister Becky.
Memorials made will be directed to the wishes of the family.
