Rosella M. Van Duzee, 81, of Clinton, passed away, Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at Mercy Medical Center – North Campus.

Memorial Services will be 10:30am, Friday April 11, 2014 at the First United Methodist Church. The Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be expressed by visiting her obituary at www.snellzornig.com

Rosella Mae Nelson was born on May 10, 1932 in Dell Rapids, South Dakota the daughter of David and Emma (Christensen) Nelson. She was a graduate of Dell Rapids High School and Dakota State University in Madison, South Dakota.

Rosella married Grant “Thomas” Van Duzee on June 15, 1956 in Dell Rapids, South Dakota.

Rosella taught 3rd grade in Huron, South Dakota. After she moved to Clinton, she worked at the Elaine Lass Nursery School and Klines Department Store.

Rosella was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

Rosella is survived by her husband: Tom of Clinton; her daughter: Debra Van Duzee of Gum Spring, Virginia; two granddaughters: Lily and Leah Johnson; her sister: Loraine Ollis of Athens, Georgia, and her brother: Roger (Darlene) Nelson of Dell Rapids, South Dakota.

Rosella was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, and one brother.

Memorials can be made to the First United Methodist Church’s Food Pantry.
