Todd Alan Kleppe, 52, of Bryant, Iowa passed away, Friday, March 28, 2014 at his home in Bryant, surrounded by his family after a battle with brain cancer. Funeral services will be held at 4 PM, Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at the Elvira Zion Lutheran Church, Elvira, IA. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 31, 2014 from 3-7pm at the church. The Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory assisted the family with arrangements. Burial will be in the Center Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joe Mulholland, Lonnie Adrian, Scott Hansen, Duane Diedrich, Jeff Borman and Tom Krogman. Honorary pallbearers will be Don Peters, Stu Mohr, Rich Krogmann, and Ron Borman.

Todd Alan Kleppe was born January 23, 1962 in Cedar Rapids, IA. Todd is the son of Darrel and Dianne Kleppe. He was a 1980 graduate of Northeast Community High School in Goose Lake, IA. Todd married Tammy Oberman at Elvira Zion Lutheran Church on September 16, 1983.

Todd was a 4-H leader for the Elvira Rustlers for 20 years. He officiated basketball for 29 years, football for 8 years, and baseball for a few summers. Todd enjoyed farming and worked for Custom-Pak in Clinton for 21 years. Todd loved taking care of his cattle and showing calves. He enjoyed coaching his boys in basketball at the AAU level and also loved playing basketball in the Elvira men’s league. Todd enjoyed camping, canoeing, leisure bike rides, fishing, and drinking beer with friends. When he laughed, everyone laughed.

Todd is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Tammy; children Trenton Kleppe of Clinton, IA, Trevor (Sadie) Kleppe of Ames, IA, Taylor Kleppe of Clinton, IA, Tanner Kleppe of Ely, IA; his mother Dianne Kleppe of DeWitt, IA; sisters Teri (Jeff) Howe and Joni (Tom) Krogman both of Clinton, IA; mother and father-in-law Leon and Milly Oberman of Clinton, IA. Preceding him in death was his father, Darrel Kleppe.
