The Clinton Advertiser Wednesday June 13, 1917 p. 6 James Hennessy aged 79 years died at 10:45 o'clock last evening at his home, 702 Sixth avenue. Mr. Hennessy was born in Canada in 1838 and come to the States in 1865 settling at Clinton where he has been a resident since that date. He was married July 3, 1867 to Julia Crowley. The deceased was a carpenter by trade and had operated a furniture store in Lyons fifty years ago. Six weeks previous to his death, Mr. Hennessey fell and injured his hip, being confined to his bed the entire time. Death is attributed to a complication of diseases and to old age. Those who survive to mourn his loss, are his wife, one daughter, Mrs. John Logan; one grandson, Robert Logan; and three sisters, Mrs. George Wadall, Mrs. John Boothman and Mrs. Edward Cullen all of Chicago. The funeral will probably be held Friday morning at St. Mary's church. Burial will be made in St. Mary's cemetery.
