Clinton Herald Monday September 5, 1932 p. 6 Fulton Youth Passes Away Had Been in Ill Health for Years but not Critical Fulton, Ill., Sept. 5 John Holleran Monahan passed away suddenly Sunday morning at 4:30 o'clock at Mercy hospital in Clinton. He had been in poor health for several yers but his last illness was of only two weeks duration. His condition was not considered critical and his death was a shock to his family and many friends. He was taken to Mercy hospital Saturday morning for treatment. He death was caused from heart trouble and other complications. John was born at the Mercy hospital, Clinton, on July 14, 1919 and lived his entire life in Fulton. He was the only son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Monahan, who with an uncle, Frank Holleran, also of Fulton, are the immediate surviving relatives. Tuesday morning John would have resumed his studies in the Fulton public school and would have entered the eighth grade. Fulton services will be held Wednesday morning at 9:30 o'clcok at the Immaculate Conception church, the Rev. J. Egan and the Rev. Peter Watgen officiating. Burial will be made in Calvary cemetery.
