Janet D. Boegel, 84, of Clinton, died Sunday, December 29, 2013 at Cumberland Memorial Hospital - Extended Care Unit – Cumberland, Wisconsin

Funeral Services will be 10:30am, Tuesday, January 7, 2013 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be TJ Scherer, Kenny Mueller, Mike Mueller, Tom Scherer, and Chris Eichmeier. Visitation will be Monday from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at the funeral home. Janet Dorothy Henderson was born on August 6, 1929 in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Kenneth and Helen (Edmunds) Henderson. She was a 1947 graduate of Clinton High School. She was also a graduate of Mount St. Claire College and Marycrest.

Janet married Karl H. Boegel on June 6, 1950 in Clinton, Iowa.

Janet was a teacher for the Riverbend School District in Fulton for 15 years.

Janet was a member of the First Congregational Church,Clinton chapter No. 65, O.E. S., member of Samaritan Auxiliary. Janet was past local president of the Jayceetes, past state president of the Jayceetes, past president Teacher's Assn.,River Bend District, and a member of the Clinton Library board of Trustees for 16 years. She enjoyed spending time with her grandsons, reading especially her Kindle!, Poetry, cardinals, crocheting, embroidery ,needlepoint, quilting, being on her computer, her dogs and grand dogs, her summers in Cumberland, Wi. On the lake, experimenting with new recipes and her daughters but most of all her husband Karl.

Janet is survived by her husband: Karl of Clinton; two daughters: Bobbi (Tom) Scherer of Clinton and Karlen “Boo” Mueller of Clinton; three grandchildren: TJ (Julie) Scherer of Roselle, Il,Kenny Mueller, and Mike Mueller of Clinton,_; and a brother-in-law: Robert Boegel of Clinton, sister-in laws Helen Boegel Smith and Kara Gay Boegel.

Janet was preceded in death by a son; Kenneth Karl, her parents and her favorite aunts Hornie and Minnie.

Memorials in lieu of flowers- can be made to the Agatha Circle,the Clinton Humane Society, the Clinton Public Library or the Thomas St Angelo Library in Cumberland, Wi.
