Laneda E. “Detes” Greenwalt age 92 of Clinton, died Monday Nov. 4, 2013 at her home. Funeral services will be held Thursday 1:00 PM at the Pape Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Thursday 11:30 AM until the service hour at the funeral home. Burial will be at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Laneda was born on Jan. 6, 1921 in Savanna, IL, the daughter of Loyal and Elvira (Bender) Lampe. She married Lawrence Greenwalt on June 5, 1937 in Clinton, he died in 2006. She was a homemaker and had worked at Burpee Seed Company. She enjoyed baking, gardening, playing cards, and her dog.

Laneda is survived by her daughter, Eilene Proud of Morrison, IL; a son, Lawrence (Sarah) Greenwalt of Clinton; 9 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 17 great-great grandchildren; and a half-brother, Dennis Lampe of Clinton. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 brothers, and 3 sisters.
