Veronica (Mrs. Jerry "Ziggy") Zybarth, 63, of DeWitt, Iowa, died Monday afternoon, May 13, 2013, at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics, Iowa City, Iowa.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt, from 2:00 until 7:00 p.m. Thursday, May 16, 2013. A service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 17, 2013 in the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, DeWitt.

She was born Veronica Sue Ewing on February 2, 1950 in Maquoketa, Iowa, to Ivan Ewing and Verna Lucille Ewing.

Veronica’s family was the most important thing in her life. Her second love was golf. She also enjoyed bowling, softball, and watching her grandkids play any sports they were involved in.

Surviving are her husband, Jerry; children, Charles "JR" (Amy) Gregoire Jr. of North Liberty, Iowa, Kasey (John) Kleinsmith of Grand Mound, Iowa, and Grant (Christina) Gregoire of De Witt; sisters, Ruth Boock of Fulton, Illinois, Helen Keeney of Maquoketa, Mary (Terry) VanDePol of Altoona, Iowa, and Judy (David) Koon of Maquoketa; brothers, Raymond (Jean) Ewing and Larry (Dee) Ewing of Oxford Junction, Iowa, and Jim (Patty) Peterman of Maquoketa; grandchildren, Nicolas and Nate Zybarth, Brittan, Charles III “Trey”, Garrett, and Noah Gregoire, Paige Lindle and Lily Kleinsmith, Maddison, Grant, Jr., and Aiden Gregoire; a sister-in-law, Nancee Peterman of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; step-grandchildren Ian and Alexandra “Rose” Kleinsmith.

Preceding Veronica in death were her parents, a brother Paul, and brother-in-law Loren Boock.
