Dorothy E. Latimer, 94, of Clinton, died Sunday, April 7, 2013 at Mercy Living Center – South.
There will be no services or visitation the body has been cremated. The Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
Dorothy Emily Latimer was born on September 27, 1918 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of George and Edna (Ockenfels) Dowty. She was a 1936 graduate of Clinton High School and also attended Brown’s Business College.
She was a license supervisor for Kemper Insurance in Long Grove for many years.
She was a former member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in DeWitt. She enjoyed painting, her flower garden and music.
She is survived by a great niece: Vicki Lang of Clinton; cousin: Phyllis Kraciun of Camanche; and special friends: Steve and Phyllis Hentze and family; Paul Kibler of Camanche, and Lil Leeb of Spring Grove, Illinois.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her half sister: Dorothy Chiapetta, and niece; Donna Flynn.
