Faye B. Gluesing, 95, formerly of DeWitt, Iowa, passed away on Monday, November 5, 2012, at Arbor View Communities, Burlington, Wisconsin.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 18, 2013 at Elmwood Cemetery, DeWitt, with The Reverend Jeff Wartgow officiating. Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt, caring for the arrangements.

She was born February 7, 1917, in Iowa County, Iowa, to Chris and Anna (nee Faltinson) Nelson. Faye spent her early life on a farm near Conroy, Iowa, and then moved to Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where she graduated from Consolidated Conroy Washington High School. On January 10, 1939, Faye was united in marriage to Donald R. Gluesing in Clinton, Iowa. Following their marriage they resided in the De Witt area on a farm. They then moved to a dairy farm in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. Faye worked as a telephone operator and as a clerk in various department stores. In retirement, Faye and Don spent their winters in Florida, and in 1999 moved to Beverly Hills, Florida. Her husband, Don preceded her in death February 23, 2001. Faye had resided in Burlington since 2004.

She was a member of the Plymouth Congregational United Church of Christ and Women of the Moose. She enjoyed working on her crafts, reading and crossword puzzles. Most of all she treasured time spent with her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Faye is survived by her children, Dean (Bonnie) Gluesing of Greendale, Wisconsin, Patsy Hlavacek of Burlington, Eunice Kirkman of Hernando, Florida, and Phyllis (Dave) Harp of Naples, Florida; her grandchildren, Christopher (Tamara) Gluesing, Patrick (Lori) Gluesing, Kathleen (Andrew) Wenzel, Jeff Firkus, Brenda Boyle, Richard Martin, Doris Hunt, Troy (Tammy) Zeeryp, Julie Zeeryp and Stephen Carter; a step-granddaughter, Sherry (Karl) Krueger and 10 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her nieces, Beverly Rebik and Sharon Batten as other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband, Don, Faye was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson, Bobby Hunt, son-in-law, Gary Hlavacek and grandson-in-law Rick Boyle.
