The Mirror, Lyons, Clinton County, Iowa, July 25, 1854

DIED

In Lyons, Saturday last, the 2nd inst., JOEL HANES, of cholera, The deceased was from Oquaka, Henderson County, Illinois. He was going up the river to look for land. He was left here about ten o'clock A.M., by the steamer, in an unconscoius, dying state, and die at 5 in the afternoon.
