CAMANCHE-Mrs. Howard F. (Lucille A.) Petersen, 86, of 1219 2nd St., died Saturday in Wyndcrest Nursing Home where she had been a resident for the past five months.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Clinton Chapel, Snell-Zornig Funeral Home with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery, Camanche. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today.
Pallbearers will be Maynard, Larry, Scott and Mark Johnson; Ken Shaw and Carroll F. Johnson.
Mrs. Petersen was born Dec 12, 1898 in Clinton, to George and Minnie Zingg Quick. She married Howard F. Petersen, July 2, 1924, in Rock Island. Mrs. Petersen was a 1919 graduate of Clinton High School and Valparaiso University, Valparaiso, Ind. She resided in Camanche and Clinton area all her life and was a member of First Church of Christ Scientist, Boston, Ma., and Clinton; and a charter member of Order of Eastern Star, Camanche. Mrs. Petersen was former organist for Petersen’s Roller Rink, Camanche.Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Maynard (Nancy) Johnson of Moline, and Mrs. Alfred (Joyce) Hopkins of Coral Gables, Fla.; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. R.J. (Jeanette) Alexander of Rochester, Minn.
