Charles David Howes, 64, of Clinton, passed away, Thursday, February 7, 2013 at the University of Iowa Hospital. Services will be held, Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at 1 PM at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will be from 5 PM to 7 PM, Monday, February 11, 2013 at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Camanche. Pallbearers will be members of Hells Our Home, Motorcycle Club.
Charles was born February 21, 1948 in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Charles L. and Hallie (Dusenberry) Howes. Charles was a Fulton, Illinois High School graduate. He was a United States Navy Veteran. He married Lois Russell on June 21, 1969 in Galena, Illinois.
Charles had been employed at 3M for more than 33 years prior to retiring in 2009. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.
He is survived by his wife, Lois; son, Phillip David (Toni) Howes of Clinton; two grandchildren, Charles Anthony Howes and Catarina Elizabeth Howes; Parents, Charles and Hallie of Albany and brothers, David and Douglas Howes of Albany. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, two uncles and an aunt.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Camanche Middle School Drama Department.
