Karen Virginia Doty, 71, of Clinton, died Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at Mercy Medical Center North, Clinton.
Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Friday, January 4, 2013 at the Clinton Church of Christ. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 PM, Thursday, January 3, 2012 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery.
Karen V. Holton was born March 11, 1941 in Battlecreek, NE, the daughter of William and Cleone (Lewis) Holton. She was a 1959 Clinton High School graduate, and attended Eastern Christian College, Bell Air, MD. Karen married Furman C. Doty on June 6, 1964 in Bell Air, MD.
She was a homemaker and was an active member of the Clinton Church of Christ where she had been a secretary and very active with Sunday school.
She is survived by her Husband, Furman C. Doty of Clinton; son Furman “Wade” Doty of Clinton; three grandchildren, Carley Doty, Virginia Doty and Manny Doty; sister, Gayleen (Gene) Beavers of Mt. Pleasant, MI and brother, William N. (Loetta) Holton of Fulton, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and her brother.
The family requests that memorials may be made to the Clinton Church of Christ.
