Maxine “Joyce” Luckritz age 86 of Clinton, died peacefully Friday Jan. 11, 2013 at her home. Funeral services will be held 10:30 am Tuesday, Jan. 15th at Lyons United Methodist Church, Clinton. Visitation will be held Monday 4 – 7 pm at the Pape Funeral Home. Burial will be at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Casket bearers will be her grandsons, Kory and Kelly Cousins, Eddie and Josh Luckritz, Casey Turner, Mike Larson, and Justin Soenksen. Memorials may be given to the Trinity United Methodist Church. Joyce was born on Feb. 5, 1926 in Clinton, the daughter of John and Emma (Weber) Neumann. She graduated from Clinton High School. She married Edwin Luckritz on June 12, 1948 in Clinton. Joyce was a homemaker and had worked at Clinton Auto Licensing, Burpee Seed Co., and A.C. Nielsen Company. She and her husband owned and operated Mr. Ed’s Restaurant on Main Avenue. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the United Methodist Women. She enjoyed baking, sewing, crafts, ceramics, watching her grandchildren at sporting and music events. She was an avid Iowa Hawkeyes and Chicago Cubs fan.

Joyce is survived by her husband, Edwin of Clinton; four children, Jeffrey (Olive) Luckritz of McCausland, IA, Jill (Roger) Cousins of Marion, IA, John (Paula) Luckritz and Jacie Turner both of Clinton; 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; several step great grandchildren; and a sister, Doris Hege of Clinton. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, and two brothers.
