The Clinton Herald Tuesday August 18, 1992 p 12 Jean R. Morrell, 80, 0f 1701 N. 10th St., died Monday in Samaritan South. The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Pape Funeral Home with the Rev. John I. Kilby of Grace Episcopal Church officiating. There will be no visitation. Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Edward Clark, Thomas Meyer, Marvin Ohsann, Albert Peck, William Ross and Richard Sykes. Miss Morrell was born Aug. 13, 1912, in Clinton, to Albert H. and Margaret Johnston Morrell. She had worked in the interior design field for a number of years and in 1950, with her sister, Esther, founded Jerel Interiors with their studio in the Howes Building. They later moved their studios to 2314 N. 2nd St., until their retirement in 1988. Miss Morrell had been involved in the interior design of numerous homes and businesses in Clinton and surrounding areas. She was a member of PEO Sisterhood, Chapter HV; and was active in the Lyons Business and Professional Association and in the promotion of the arts in the city of Clinton. Survivors include her sister, Esther Morrell of Clinton, with whom she made her home; a brother, Albert M. Morrell of Lancaster, Pa.; and four nephews and a niece. Death date: Aug. 17, 1992.
