William Clay of 305 Second avenue, an old resident of Clinton, died at Agatha hospital at 4:30 o'clock this morning, after an illness of several months. The deceased was taken to the hospital about a week ago. Mr. Clay was born in England about 86 years ago, and came to America when a boy. He worked at the trade of a machinist here for many years. Surviving him are his wife and two nephews, William and Steve Torey (couldn't read for sure on spelling), of Clinton. He also leaves a sister who lives in Patterson N. J.
pg 6 1/19/18 Funeral Services for the late William Clay will be held Sunday afternoon at the family home 305 Second avenue with the intererment in Springdale cemetery.
