P. R. Orte died yesterday afternoon at 5 o'clock at the home of his son, P. J. Orte 648 Jefferson avenue, after an illness of one week of pneumonia. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Danish Lutheran church and will be in charge of the Danish society. Burial will be at Springdale. Mr. Orte was born in Denmark in 1843 and came to Clinton to reside in 1888. He was a pensioned employee of the Northwestern company and made his home at 130 North Sixth street, whence he was taken when illness came upon him. His wife passed on before and he is survived by two sons, P. J. Orte and Chris J. Orte both of this city.
