Dorcas D.J. Killean, 85, of Clinton, Iowa, died Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at Harbor Crest Nursing Home, Fulton. Memorial services will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, April 28, 2012 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 AM, Saturday at the funeral home.

Dorcas was born June 20, 1926 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of George and Enid (Shadle) Dawson.

She married James Paul Killean on September 19, 1953 in Clinton; he died March 31, 1984.

She had been employed as a telephone operator, was a homemaker and worked at Stile and Kline's. She had most recently been employed at Killean Audiology and Hearing Aid Center.

Dorcas enjoyed reading, crocheting, sewing and was an avid bowler. She especially enjoyed her grandchildren.

Survivors include her daughters, Patricia (Randy) Stark of Clinton, IA; Mary K. (Dean) Papke of Miles, IA; Linda Hayen of Fulton, IL and Julie Killean of Lafayette, CO; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Margery (Vinson) Carpenter of Clinton, IA and brother, Donald (Janice) Dawson of Clinton, IA.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Justin Faur, two brothers and three sisters. Memorials may be made to Harbor Crest Nursing Home.
