Clinton, Iowa - Catherine J. “Cathy” Costello age 63, of Clinton, passed away on Saturday, March 17, 2012 at Genesis Medical Center, DeWitt. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, March 21st at Faith Lutheran Church in Andover. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 7:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Pape Funeral Home and from 9:30 A.M. until the service time Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in Andover Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Matt, Dennis, Danny, Ryan, Dwain Johnson, and Scott Judge.
Cathy was born in Clinton on June 6, 1948, the daughter of Myron and Ramona (Juels) Johnson. She graduated from Northeast High School in 1966. Cathy married John Costello on July 25, 1970 at Faith Lutheran Church. Cathy owned and operated Fashion and Flair Beauty Shop until 2008. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. She loved to go to the races at local dirt tracks and watching NASCAR. She enjoyed being with people and baking, especially cakes.
Cathy is survived by a son, Ray (Nancy) Costello of Goose Lake; a granddaughter, Sophia; two step-grandchildren, Caitlin and Bronson Lamp and a sister-in-law, Deb Johnson. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Steven Johnson.
