Frank Joseph Zielinski, 83, of Clinton, Iowa was called to his heavenly home Sunday, April 1st, 2012. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 4th, at 2:00 p.m. at Lemke Funeral Homes - North Chapel (2304 N. second street, Clinton, Ia.). Visitation will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. until time of service, at Lemke Funeral Homes - North Chapel. Burial will take place St. Irenaeus Cemetery. Lemke Funeral Homes is assisting the family with arrangements.
He was born on July 13th, 1928 in Przemyslany, Poland, the son of Edward and Helen (Andrzejewska) Zielinski. He married Maria (Bak) Zielinski August 29th, 1946.
He was a member of the Moose Club and the German Club. He loved to fish, bowl and golf.
He is survived by his son - Edward (Danusia) Zielinski of Elgin, IL; 3 daughters - Helene (Stephen) Jeffrey of Kennesaw, GA., Janet Glazier and fiancé Tim Lisk of Thomson, IL, Val (Larry) Bruggenwirth of Fulton, IL; his grandchildren - Mark (Lori) Zielinski of Parkersburg, WV, Rev. Todd (Tracey) Zielinski of Charlotte, NC, Judy Miller of Carson City, NV, Christine (Danny) Morrow of Channahon, IL, Scott (April) Glazier of Fulton, IL, Travis (Trisha) Glazier of Fulton, IL., Steven (Laurie) Bruggenwirth of Albany, IL., Janelle Bruggenwirth of Fulton, IL. Tiffany (Nick) Shepherd of Fulton, IL., Greg (Helena) Zielinski and Ursula Zielinski. He was blessed with 21 great-grandchildren - eleven boys, nine girls and a great-grandson on the way. Also his care giver and partner Clara Wilhelm.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a sister, a brother-in-law, and one great-granddaughter.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Genesis Medical Center - East Campus, Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 1227 E. Rushholme St., Davenport, Ia., 52803.
