Margaret Koepp funeral Friday

Margaret E. Koepp, 67, of Route 3, Clinton, died Tuesday in Samaritan North.

The funeral will be 1:30 p.m. Friday in Zion Lutheran Church with the Rev. Stanley Peterson officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday in Clinton Chapel, Snell-Zorning Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.

Pallbearers, all Clinton Area Vietnam Veterans, will be Paul Varner, Al Busch Sr., Larry Baker, Tom Judd, Bill Bradley, Bob Wuestenberg, Lawrence Brennan and Bruce Sikkema.

Honorary pallbearers will be Kermit Aude, James Schnier, Max Pettit, Dorothy Lampe, Zelda Malstrom and Dorothy Blanchard.

Mrs. Koepp was born Sept. 15, 1921, in Center Township, Clinton County, Iowa, to Peter and Alvina Goodemann Kroeger. She married Raymond Ullrich. She later married Frank C. Koepp, June 16, 1960, in Dixon, Ill. He died in April of 1980. She attended the rural Clinton County schools and was a 1939 graduate of Goose Lake High School. She then attended and graduated from business college in Davenport.

Mrs. Koepp was employed as a housekeeper, did laundry in her home, and was employed at the Clinton Garment Company. She founded and owned the House of Hobby's in Clinton, for 10 years. She was a life-long resident of the area.

Mrs. Koepp was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and the church Naomi Circle. She was an active volunteer for the Learning Resource Center at Elijah Buell School for five years, and was the first corresponding secretary for the Clinton Area Vietnam Veterans.

Survivors include a son, Rick Ullrich, of Clinton; a granddaughter; a stepson, Frank C. Koepp Jr., of Thorton, Colo.; two stepdaughters, Mary Blumer and Nancy Peeples, both of Aurora, Colo.; 10 stepgrandchildren; three stepgreat-grandchildren; a brother, Lloyd Kroeger, of Teeds Grove; and a sister, Violet Ullrich, of Fullerton, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.
