WILLIAM I. TWYFORD, SR.

William I. Twyford Sr., 87 of 796 12th Ave. S., died Wednesday in Jane Lamb Health Center’s skilled care unit. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m., Saturday in Clinton chapel of Snell-Zornig Funeral Home with the Rev. Glenn Hull of Clinton Church of Christ officiating. Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday. Pallbearers will be Bill Twyford, Kevin Twyford, Mark Twyford, Mike Krebs, Lonny Boerema, Steve Tiesman, Scott Lauritzen and Denny Bernett. Mr. Twyford was born Dec. 8, 1896, in Percy, Penn,, to Thomas A. and Oley Wolford Twyford. He married Pauline Leona Breckling on Dec. 5, 1929, in Davenport. She died in 1973. He was a retired employee of Clinton Corn Processing Company. He had been a resident of Clinton since 1921. Survivors include two sons, William I. Jr. of Clinton and Raymond E. of Fort Meyers, Fla.; two daughters, Mrs. Marvin (Beverly) Lundquist of Clinton and Mrs. Eldo (Virginia) Krebs of Clinton; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Don (Nina) Bowman of Clairton, Penn. He was preceded in death by his wife Thurs. 7 June, 1984, pg 18
