Camanche, Iowa - Douglas R. Lueders age 62 of Camanche died Thursday Jan. 19, 2012 at Mercy North Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer. According to his wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service, cremation rites have been accorded. The Pape Funeral Home is assisting the family. Douglas was born on Sept. 18, 1949 in Clinton, the son of Donald and Beverly (Lange) Lueders. He graduated from Camanche High School in 1968. He married Linda Eberle on June 3, 1978 in Clinton; she passed away on Oct. 9, 2011. Douglas worked at ALCOA as a mill operator for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, ham radio, and billiards. He was an avid Chicago Bears and St. Louis Cardinals fan.

Douglas is survived by his two children, Christopher Lueders and Lindsey Lueders both of Clinton; He was preceded in death by her parents and wife, Linda.
