Jane Ann Rasmussen, 51, DeWitt, died Tuesday afternoon, July 19, 2011 in her home following a courageous battle with cancer.

Jane Ann Gordon was born September 8, 1959 in Monticello, Iowa, to Larry and Yvonne (Pauli) Gordon. She graduated from Olin High School in 1977. Jane attended cosmetolgy school and was licensed as a beautician. She later received an RN degree from Clinton Community College. Most recently, Jane had been employed by Girling Health Care of DeWitt, as a Homecare Nurse. Jane married Brad Rasmussen June 12, 1981 in Olin, Iowa. The couple resided in DeWitt, where they raised their family.

She was a member of DeWitt Lutheran Fellowship. Jane enjoyed gardening. She loved her family dearly and especially enjoyed spending time with her girls and grandson.

Surviving are her loving husband of 30 years, Brad; children, Beth Connor and her husband, Troy of Grand Mound, Emily Williams and her husband, Jake of Parkview, and Joanna Rasmussen of DeWitt; a grandson, Tate Connor.

Preceding Jane in death were her parents and a sister, Jean Rickels.

The family will receive friends at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt, from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday, July 22, 2011. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 23, 2011 in DeWitt Lutheran Fellowship. The Rev. Paul Lang will officiate and burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery, DeWitt.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Olson, Nathan Olson, Dan Hartmann, John Overstake, Garrick Jessen and Steve Connor.
