CHARLES J. (CARL) HANNAFAN

A requiem high mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Irenaeus church for Charles J. (Carl) Hannafan, 69, of 1114 Main Ave., who died in his home Friday morning. Rev. D. C. Mennhardt will be the celebrant and burial will be in St. Irenaeus cemetery. Friends may call at the Pape funeral home after 7 p.m. this evening. The parish rosary will be said at 7 p.m. sunday in the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Ed Jensen, Ward Markley, Frank Waldorf, Carl Wiese, Ed Kook and John Roeh.

Mr. Hannafan was born in Clinton, Aug 6, 1896, the son of Timothy and Mary Dunn Hannafan. On April 17, 1929 he married Amanda Jepsen in Clinton. He was a retired Curtis Co. employee and a member of St. Irenaeus church.

Surviving are his widow, one daughter, Mrs. Bobby Hess of Davenport; two brothers, Patrick and Francis, both of Clinton; for grandsons; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
