Adrian H. Roling - Law-Jones Funeral Home Obituary

Adrian Henry Roling, age 86, of Preston, Iowa, died Sunday, November 28, 2010, at the Mercy Medical Center, Clinton, Iowa. A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 1, 2010, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Preston, with Father Paul Lippstock as Celebrant. Burial will follow in the Sugar Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 30, also at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Preston. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association in Adrian's memory.

Adrian Henry Roling was born September 21, 1924, in Sugar Creek, Iowa, the son of Herman and Agnes (Soppe) Roling. He attended St. Joseph Catholic School in Sugar Creek. He married Margaret Trenkamp on November 24, 1947.

Adrian farmed on the family farm in Sugar Creek until retiring in 1977. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Preston. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Adrian is survived by his wife Margaret Roling of Preston; one brother, Ambrose of Preston; two sons, Dale (Linda) and Gary (Doris) of Sugar Creek; three daughters, Nancy of Maquoketa, and Donna and Janet of Preston; fourteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Adrian was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, Gregory, Benedict, Lawrence, Sylvester, and an infant twin boy; four sisters, Regina, Genevieve, Rita, and an infant twin girl; and one grandson.
