Dawn M. Kastel, 49, of Clinton, died Monday, June 27, 2011 at her home.

Private Services will be held at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Camanche.

Dawn Marie Kastel was born on February 14, 1962 in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, the daughter of Gerald and Constance (Tayek) Kastel.

She was employed as a nurse and substitute teacher in the Clinton, Davenport, and Camanche area.

Dawn is survived by her daughter: Nicole Marie Kastel of Camanche; one granddaughter: Ayden Rose Kastel; her mother: Connie (Roger) Lessard of Camanche, her father: Gerald Kastel of Clinton; two sisters: Pam (Ron) Annear of Clinton, and Cindy Frederick of Camanche; one brother John Roger Lessard of Camanche; her paternal grandmother: Rita Copeland of Davenport; and aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Dawn was preceded in death by her grandparents.

Memorials can be made to the family.
