Doris J. Gregory, 73, of Clinton died Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at Mercy Medical Center North.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, July16, at Lemke Funeral Homes, NORTH CHAPEL, 2304 North 2nd Street. Visitation will be from 11a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday, also at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Springdale Cemetery. Lemke Funeral Homes is assisting the family.
Doris was born August 20, 1937, in Big Mound City, IL. the daughter of George and Ethel ( Medler ) Felix.
On August 22, 1953, Doris was united in marriage with Earl Gregory in Fairfield, IL.
Doris worked at the Garment Factory, Kopps Market, and the Plaza Café, where she was well known for her wonderful cinnamon rolls. She was also a wonderful homemaker.
Doris enjoyed Crossword puzzles, baking, reading, playing bingo, and to crotchet.
Survivors include, 3 daughters, Becky Frederick, of Clinton, Cindy ( Larry ) Goldensoph, of Clinton, Christy Porter, of Gaylord, Minnesota, 1 son, Gary ( Sue ) Gregory, of Clinton, 11 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 3 sisters, and 2 brothers.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 daughter, 1 brother, and 1 sister.
