Lafayette, Colo. — Arlene passed quietly Sunday morning June 5, 2011, at Exempla
Good Samaritan Hospital in Lafayette, Co.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years James; two brothers,
Orlin and Cliff Schroeder, and her parents George and Clara.

She is survived by 3 daughters; Kathleen VonRuff of Georgetown,
TX, (Alvin) Mary Ellen Knack of Lexington, IL, (Marvin) and Carole Patrick of
Louisville, CO, (Charlie); 4 grandchildren Stephani, Julie, Kody, and Megan,
four great-grandchildren (Jackson, Lola, Justin, and Oliver.) Three brothers
Wesley Schroeder of Clinton, IA; Gordon Schroeder of Clinton, IA; Rodney
Schroeder of Sarasonta, FL; (JoEllyn) and one sister Carole Lueders of Clinton.

Arlene worked for her brother Rodney as his legal secretary for many
years before retiring. She decided in 2010 to sell her house in Clinton and
move to Colorado with her daughter Carole and family. She loved the
sunshine and mild temperatures of Colorado and loved to go into
the mountains and do a little gambling and dining out.
She loved her family. She loved her Church and was very happy.
She will be greatly missed.

A celebration of her life will be held 10:30am Friday, June 17th at
at Lemke Funeral Homes South Chapel, 2610 Manufacturing DR.
Clinton, Iowa. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery.
