Marie L. Eggers, 67, of Branson, MO., and formerly of Clinton, passed away Friday, April 8, 2011 at St. Johns Hospital, Springfield, MO.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2011, at Lemke Funeral Homes, South Chapel. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial will take place in Clinton Lawn Cemetery.

Marie was born June 26, 1943 in New Orleans, LA., the daughter of Alfred and Louise (Serpas) Paup.
Marie graduated from Clinton High School in 1962. Marie married Marvin Eggers October 3, 1964, in St. Boniface Church, Clinton, Iowa.

Marie worked briefly for Kopps Market. She then moved onto the banking industry, working as a teller. She eventually worked her way up the ladder and became the Vice President of Clinton Federal and Savings for nearly 20 years.

Marie enjoyed entertaining, traveling, playing cards, and visiting the casinos. Most importantly to Marie was family.

Survivors include her loving husband of 47 years, Marvin, of Branson, Mo., 1 son, Steve and his wife Stacey, of Windsor, MO., and 4 granddaughters, Danielle, Devin, Katie, and Ryan.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorials can be made to American Cancer Society or The American Heart Association.
