Helen A. Rutledge-Parson, 92, of Clinton, died Thursday, March 10, 2011 at the Alverno Heath Care Facility.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be 10:00am, Saturday, March 12, 2011 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Private family burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00-7:00pm at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory and from 9:00am to the mass time at the church.

Helen Agnes Henricksen was born on December 11, 1918 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Charles and Pauline (Henrichsen) Henricksen. She was a graduate of Mt. St. Clare Academy in 1936.

She married Harold (Bud) Rutledge on November 8, 1939 in Clinton; he died on June 19, 1968. She later married George E. Parson on January 8, 1972 in Freeport, Illinois, he died December 28, 1995.

She was a office secretary/medical assistant with Dr. Leonard Nelken. She was also employed with the Milwaukee Railroad Credit Union, the Job Corp, and Eagles.

She was a member of Prince of Peace Parish, and the AMVETS Auxiliary.

She is survived by one son: Charles (Jacqueline) Rutledge of Fulton; two daughters: Ann (Ronald) Schmitt of Camanche, and Phyllis (Stan) Tenboer of Fulton; seven grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 3 step great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great grandchildren; and one brother: Msgr. Francis Henricksen of Tipton

She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, two grandsons, two sisters, and one brother.

Memorials can be made to the Prince of Peace Building Fund.
