Myra C. Goers, 92, of Clinton, died Sunday, March 6, 2011 at Mercy Medical Center, North Campus, Clinton.

Funeral Services will be 1:00pm, Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at Saint Paul Lutheran Church with Rev. Elizabeth Liggett officiating. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Marc Petersen, Shawn Petersen, Steve Werner, Richard Miller, Jeff Miller, and Cole Petersen. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00-8:00pm at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Z0rnig Funeral Homes and Crematory with a Eastern Star service at 7:00pm.

Myra Catherine Faverty was born on January 16, 1919 in Boone, Iowa, the daughter of Marion and Agnes (Long) Faverty. She married Vernon Goers on October 16, 1982; he died December 3, 2008.

Myra was a homemaker. She also served on the draft board at the Schick Hospital.

Mrya was a member of Saint Paul Lutheran Church, Order of Eastern Star, Women of the Moose and the Legion Auxiliary.

Myra is survived by a daughter: Judy Petersen of Clinton; five grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.

Mrya was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one daughter: Donna Miller.

Memorials may be made to the Saint Paul Lutheran Church or the Alzheimer’s Association.
