John ORR Sr. passed away this morning at 4:30 o’clock at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Jessie MARSHALL, 825 Olney avenue at the age of 86 years. Death was due to the infirmities accompanying old age. Mr. ORR, Was born in Warren county, Ohio, on July 24, 1835, and for the past 50 years until a year and a half ago he had resided near Maquoketa where he was engaged in farming. He came to Clinton a year and a half ago and had since made his home with his daughter.

Those who are left to mourn his death are his bereaved wife, Mrs. Sophia ORR of Clinton, two sons, Floyd of Clinton, Melvin of New Jersey, one daughter, Mrs. Jessie MARSHALL of Clinton, one sister, Mrs. Margaret THOMPSON, Of Pennsylvania and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are to be private and will be held at the home, 825 Olney avenue, at 9 o’clock Wednesday morning. Rev. H. C. CULVER of the First M. E. church will officiate. Friends are asked to kindly omit flowers. Burial will be at Andrew, northeast of Maquoketa.
