William N. Hill, 85, of Clinton, passed away Thursday, September 30, 2010, at the Alverno Health Care Center. According to William’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery.

William was born to Donald and Carolyn (Nissen) Hill on February 9, 1925, in Clinton. He attended Clinton schools. William enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1941 until 1942. He married Norma Jean Glover and she passed away in April of 2009. William was in chocolate and beverage sales. He was a member of the Mason’s. William enjoyed sports, football, baseball, getting together with friends and going out to eat.

Survivors include one daughter, Laura Lee (Kenny) Jones of Pembroke Pines, FL; one grandson, Shea Danahy, Pembroke Pines, FL; cousins, Joan (Henry) Wilkins, Marengo, IL; Chris Wilkins, Milton, WI; Jen Wilkins, Chicago, IL; Carolyn (John) Mulholland, Clinton, IA; and good friends, Sue and Jimmie James, Camanche, IA.
