Sarah Anne McNeil
(January 7, 1941 - September 13, 2010)

Sarah Anne (Mrs. Roger) McNeil, 69, Grand Mound, passed away unexpectedly Monday evening, September 13, 2010 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born January 7, 1941 in Lost Nation, Iowa, to James and Alice (Heath) Wolfe. Sarah graduated from Lost Nation High School in 1958. On June 1, 1963, Sarah was united in marriage to Roger McNeil at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Lost Nation.

She was a homemaker for most of her life, giving her all to her family. Sarah took great pride in her grandchildren and was very proud of their accomplishments. When Sarah wasn't attending to her family, she could be found doing something to help the community. Sarah loved giving of herself. She volunteered for many projects and was well known in the Clinton County Community. Sarah touched many lives and will be greatly missed by all.

Sarah will be fondly remembered by her husband of 47 years, Roger. She will also be greatly missed by her children, Michael (Jean) McNeil, Grand Mound, Kathleen Mossinghoff, Palmyra, Missouri, Tricia (Rich) Lindabury, Eldridge and Chris (Shelley) McNeil, Davenport; grandchildren, Brady, AJ, Chelsea and J.R.; siblings, Celine Wicks, Maureen Olsen and Pat Wolfe.

Preceding Sarah in death were her parents, a brother and three brothers-in-law.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Saints Philip and James Catholic Church, Grand Mound, from 2:00 until 3:45 p.m. Friday, September 17, 2010. A sevice will be held at 4:00 p.m., Friday, in the Church. A mememorial fund has been established.

Arrangements are in care of Schultz Funeral Home, Grand Mound.
