Ilean R. Humphreys, 79, of Clinton, died Sunday, August 1, 2010 at the Alverno Health Care Facility, Clinton, Iowa.

Funeral Services will be 12:00pm, Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at Zion Lutheran Church. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Eric Johnson, Mike Heusinkveld, Traviss Tubbs, Steven Ryner, Jeff Weaver, Gary Vath, and David Sivright. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren. Visitation will be from 10:00am to the service time at the church. The Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory is assisting the family.

Ilean Ryner was born on September 7, 1930 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Ellsworth and Minnie (Broders) Ryner. She married Lester Humphreys on June 10, 1955 at Zion Lutheran Church.

She was a 1948 graduate of Clinton High School.

She was a legal secretary for Shaff Farwell & Seneff until retiring in 1989. She had been a substitute para-educator for the Clinton Community School District for over ten years.

She was a lifetime member of Zion Lutheran Church, volunteered with the Discovery Center and was a “professional sports fan and spectator” as she enjoyed watching her grandchildren’s events.

She is survived by her husband: Les of Clinton; three daughters: Lynn (Eric) Johnson of Davenport, Iowa, Lorene Chevrier of Aiken, South Carolina, and Lisa (Mike) Heusinkveld of Clinton, Iowa; six grandchildren: Adam, Aaron, Meredith, Aubrey, Ethan and Hannah; one brother: Gail (Diana) Ryner of Clinton, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorials can be made to the Zion Lutheran Church Building Fund.
