Richard “Dick” Dean Hunt,

Richard “Dick” Dean Hunt, 68,of Clinton, passed away Sunday, June 27, 2010, at University of Iowa Hospitals.

The funeral service will be held Thursday, July 1, 2010 at 10:30am at Prince of Peace Church, Clinton, Iowa.

Father Ken Kuntz will be officiating.

Visitation will be Wednesday, June 30th, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Lemke Funeral Homes, South Chapel, 2610 Manufacturing Drive.

Richard was born August 21, 1941, in Belle Plaine, Iowa, the son of Richard and Grace (Custer) Hunt.

He graduated from St. Mary’s High School in 1959.

He married Donna Limke on February 23, 1963, and they later divorced. Richard worked for the Local 25 Pipe Fitters Union in Rock Island, IL as a pipefitter.

He enjoyed traveling, model railroading, woodworking and his dogs. He was a good guy who believed in “working hard and playing hard”.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Terri Doyle, Cedar Rapids, IA; Cathy (Andrew) Eberhart, Clinton; 2 sons, Steve (Theresa) Hunt, Kissimmee, FL; Brian (Nicole) Hunt, Hohenwald, TN, 5 grandchildren; Allison, Madison, McKenna, Nathan and Lillian; 1 sister, Rosemary Rowley, Monteray, CA and his best friend his dog, Pal.

Memorials may be made to the University of Iowa Hospitals Cancer Research.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
