Marilyn A. Gool, 77, of Clinton, Iowa, died Saturday, June 5, 2010 at Mercy Medical Center North Campus, Clinton.

Funeral Services will be 10:30am, Thursday, June 10, 2010 at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00-7:00pm at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory.

Marilyn Ann Johnson was born on August 2, 1932 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa the daughter of Oscar and Ellen (Nielsen) Johnson. She married Charles Gool on May 3, 1953 at Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Marilyn was a 1950 graduate of Clinton High School.

Marilyn was a homemaker.

Marilyn was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Marilyn is survived by her husband: Charles of Clinton; two sons: Charles Gool, III of Summerville, South Carolina, and David (Judith) Gool of Highland, California; daughter: JoEllen (Terry) Klooster of Ruthven, Iowa; one brother: Wayne (Sharon) Johnson of Clinton, Iowa, and one sister: Joan (Ray) Fielder of Clinton; and several nieces and nephews.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents and one son: Robert.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church.
