Elizabeth L. Baldwin

Elizabeth L. Baldwin, 82, of Ebson Road, Fulton, IL, died the morning
of June 3, 2010, at Mercy Medical Center, Clinton, Iowa.

Funeral services
will be Monday, June 7, 2010 11a.m. at Lemke Funeral Homes, South Chapel
with Rev. Horst Hehr officiating.

Visitation will be one hour before the service.
Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Nephew, Robert Clark,
Jim Topham, Ben Topham, Dave Hilgendorf, Howie Selhost, and Len Janis.

Elizabeth was born on September 5, 1927, the daughter of George Darby
and Elizabeth Kyle Darby in Logan, West Virginia.

Elizabeth married David Baldwin on October 30, 1955 in Clinton, Iowa. David died on May 15,1975.

She and her husband enjoyed many wonderful years living along the Mississippi River enjoying fishing, boating and all the wildlife.

Elizabeth continued to live in her own home on Ebson Road until her death.

Elizabeth worked at the Clinton Laundry and Dry Cleaners for several years and then the Bennett Box Co. She completed her working years at the Clinton Garment Factory retiring in 1978.

Lizzy enjoyed life to the fullest watching and
feeding all the animals that visit and live by and on the river.
Lizzy was loved by all of her friends that lived on and near Ebson Road very much.
A memorial has been established in the name of The Clinton Human Society.

She had three brothers and five sisters all of whom have pre-deceased her, living around many different parts of the United States. She is survived by her special friends, Bonnie Carstens, Jim and Patti Topham and their families, as well as Terry and Janet Topham, Dave and Becky Hilgendorf, Chuck and Hallie Howe, and Cliff and Vivian Peters and their families. Len and Barb Suehl-Janis and their family will forever miss this wonderful woman that they were so close to for the past thirty-three years. She is also survived
by several nieces and nephews.
